The Rippling Effect
Rippling Effect: the continuing and spreading results of an event or action. Just think about this definition and now apply it to the children's ministry here at MorningStar Missions. Not only are we reaching and touching the lives of children in one community, BUT multiple. Then, when you consider that we also impact the lives of the children's teachers we teach and train and the missionaries we send out our teaching material to, the impact is compounding throughout Copan Ruinas and Central America. It's not only an immediate impact but an eternal one as well.
Here at MorningStar Missions, we are helping people make a rippling impact themselves. You can do so by sowing financial seeds directly into the children's ministry to fuel its work. It is only $27 to sponsor a child for a whole year (DONATE)! You can do this as a one-time gift by supporting one child to as many children as you want. Or you can make a monthly donation to sponsor multiple children all through the year.

Why are the children of Honduras Important?
What impact are we making in the children’s lives?Every child is important to God; all deserve the opportunity to learn and embrace his Holy Word. However, Honduras is a country that lacks opportunities for children, limiting them to only learn about certain subjects in their public school that is solely up to 8th grade, which not many of them can afford to attend. We believe that it is vital to help children see their abilities, and when they trust and work with God, their abilities have no limitations. God can make a significant impact in their lives, giving them the hope of a better life in him. That is why we want to provide the best biblical education to the children, encourage them to be better, and expand their opportunities in God.
What impact are we making in the children’s lives?
We believe that planting the word of God in the hearts of the children at a young age will impact and build a firm foundation of biblical truths for their Christian walk and future. Establishing children’s ministries within the churches has enabled us to minister God’s word to them on a level that they can understand and apply to their daily life. Lessons are taught using dramas, songs, crafts, puppets, games, object lessons, or whatever is necessary to understand the lesson’s purpose.
What are we doing for the children’s teachers in their development?
We give 100% support to the 26 teachers of the different communities by providing the lessons and all the necessary materials each month. The teachers are trained and taught monthly on how to conduct their classes. We help them to improve their creativity and knowledge for teaching the children. Our goal is to encourage and support every children’s teacher to understand their ministry basics and what it will take to accomplish it.
What impact are we making on the missionaries?
The missionaries and ministers that are receiving the curriculum have been able to teach and train local church members as it is in Spanish and English. It has allowed them to focus more on training instead of writing their bible lessons and then translating them. It has allowed the local church to have ownership in the development of the Children’s ministry. It has impacted budgets by receiving the material “free via email,” which allows the money that was dedicated to purchasing children’s curriculum to be used elsewhere.
What are your plans for the children’s ministry in 2021?

• That each children’s church will have 20 bibles.
• For each child to have their own Bible as a reward for completing a list of requirements.
• To hold a special conference 2 times a year in the different communities.
• For every child to be able to memorize all the books of the Bible and recite 12 full scriptures.
