WHO ARE WE?
We established MorningStar Missions in 2009. What began as part-time missions to Honduras flourished into a full-time ministry in 2013 for my wife and me. October 31st, we arrived with our 6 suitcases in hand along with our 19-year-old daughter. Today, we have seen God take us from being naive to more mature and seasoned ministers of the gospel, all the while still growing every day in his greatness.
Today, we work with key pastors in the Copan Ruinas area. All together we work towards the advancement of God’s Kingdom in the surrounding mountainous rural areas. The Lord has enabled us to set up various works in over 20 communities. We have 17 pastors and leaders connected to our ministry, along with 21 children’s ministers. This team of men and women of God shines the light of Jesus Christ all throughout the mountains for his glory.
How are we able to carry out this and continue to do so today? Through the leading and guiding of the Lord, but also establishing community churches, the power of duplication, partnership with key ministries and individuals in the USA, and short-term mission teams.

CHILDREN'S MINISTRY - Prior to coming to Honduras. Nancy has been involved with children’s ministry for over 20 years. She has taken her knowledge and passion for children to help develop others with the same heart. Today, she has 21 ministers that touch the hearts of the kids in the mountains. She herself develops her own children’s curriculum along with crafts. Not only is this material passed out to every community we work in with children, she makes it available to approximately 43 missionaries and ministers in Honduras, Guatemala, and El Salvador.
RADIO BROADCAST – Today, many have gravitated over to the internet for their information and entertainment. That is not the case for those in the mountains. They still to this day depend on the local radio station. We have seen remarkable success in reaching those in the mountains with radio. Currently, we are ministering daily in 7 departments (states) in Honduras. Our vision is to expand in other areas of Honduras and begin going into other countries as well. We estimate that we are reaching around 3 to 4 thousand people each day through this ministry.
PASTORS AND LEADERS - Duplication takes place through teaching and training. Here at MorningStar Missions, we are honored to be connected with Mark Barclay Ministries to offer SMTI “Supernatural Ministries Training Institute.” This is a 2-year Bible College that we offer. This has allowed the ministers of the gospel to grow and learn how to lead and guide those God has placed in their lives. We have seen impressive growth and maturity through this program.
To continue strengthening those that God has placed in our lives. We offer a bi-monthly pastors’ and leaders’ conference. Here we gather for various teachings. This allows the men and women of God to be refreshed in God’s word continuously, all the while having strength in comradery.

SHORT-TERM MISSION TEAMS - This has been one of our greatest tools to advance our work. From evangelism, preaching, teaching, outreach to schools, to women’s meetings, construction, and more. We have seen with our very own eyes that short-term mission teams help us spearhead new communities and bring continual strength to our existing communities.
BUILDING OF CHURCHES - From the beginning, helping the people of the communities to build their own churches was important to us. Several of the churches were set up by in home Bible studies. The people hungered to have their own church. Therefore, we partnered with them by providing finances and the labor with short-term mission teams.
Along with the listed items above, we are continuously working in our communities by serving the people through various means. We are excited to see what God has in store for MorningStar Missions and those we are connected to in the future.
