I think many times over, we can get trapped in our mental box and only see life right before us, but all the while never understanding a larger picture. The Kingdom of God is not just our local church. God has the nations on his heart. What is troubling, globally, the reach of the church is on a small scale. There is much work to do. We can't just assume that someone else has it covered cause once you see the stats, no, it's not being covered.
Being the change and tool in the hands of God is a right now impact, but an eternal one as well. Not only for the souls that you reach and touch but for yourself as well. Stored-up treasures heaven are safe and under heavy protection. Great is your reward for anyone who chases after the heart of God. Seek God as to what your role is in His Kingdom! The fields are ready for harvest! Isn't she so sweet? One of the children in the church dressed up to honor a National Hero of Honduras
Years ago, my supervisor told me that Christians use Jesus as a crutch. Obviously, his comment was meant to be an insult. Well, you can say I use Jesus as a crutch all you want. There is NO better life than living it through Jesus! I have lived both and no way do I want to return to the old life! I need the Lord every moment!
This is a shocking global breakdown of Believers in Christ Jesus. This should break our hearts.
Here is the definition of Nominal Adherents. The evangelical Lausanne Movement defines a nominal Christian as "a person who has not responded in repentance and faith to Jesus Christ as his personal Saviour and Lord"...[he] "may be a practicing or non-practicing church member. He may give intellectual assent to basic Christian doctrines and claim to be a Christian. He may be faithful in attending liturgical rites and worship services and be an active member involved in church affairs." We live in a tourist community; it is nothing for people to make their own crafts and walking in the parks selling them. Here is a woman in Antigua, Guatemala, another community similar to ours. She was selling items jewelry and other items.
These are called TukTuk's (moto-taxis), and they beat the fire out of you as you ride in them, combination cobblestone streets and driving fast. This guy is my kind of taxi driver. He put up a sign the says, Excuse me, I can't drive fast, thank you!
These kids are so precious! As you can see in the video, they are imagining that they are fishing and jumping in the water! This is a children's teaching our friend, Patty, developed. She is teaching the kids to be fishers of men!
El Tigre is a community that is served by Pastors Rene and Tina. This was when we made our first visit to Pueblo Viejo. It's a little community tucked away into the mountains. To this day, we serve and help the pastor there with Manos de Jesus.
Someone commented, not knowing but thinking we were leaving Copan Ruinas for this community. She said, "So you feel your job is done where you are? You've worked so hard there." I replied, "We expand; we don't leave established work." God has established in my heart the Nation of Honduras and other Central American countries. At first, I didn't see how that would take place. Today, I can clearly see how it will take place! God is good all the time! He has never failed my wife or me, and he never will! Sometimes, I wish I could see into the future and see where we are going, but that's the fun part of serving him; it's always an adventure! PRAISE GOD! On August 1st, we will be adding another Department or State to our list of radio stations! It is extremely humbling to have this opportunity to reach thousands of lives daily for the Gospel of Jesus Christ! We plan to expand more so into Honduras. My goal is to be on the radio in San Pedro Sula and Tegucigalpa. Then, Guatemala here we come!
I will be very very forthright with anyone reading this message. If you are wanting to advance the Gospel of Jesus Christ into the nations, this ground is extremely fertile. Monthly committed partnerships will help us push the Word of God out further and further and further! It doesn't matter the size of the financial seed $25 to $100 or more, it adds to our abilities to do His work! One thing I love about living in Honduras as a missionary is the fresh fruit that is available. Here is a vendor selling sliced green mangoes and they pour over it with a special sauce Worcestershire sauce, grounded roasted pumpkin seeds, chili powder, salt, and pepper.
MorningStar Missions is ministering the Gospel of Jesus to thousands of people across Honduras. We are on radio stations in 7 departments (states) of this country.
This video shot is one of the broadcasts that is currently taking place. I'm sharing how to be a parent to our child or children through the Lord. Praise God for everyone that helps us do what we do! Reaching, touching, and changing lives for Jesus Christ. ❤?? |
