Pastor Favio, a man that can teach many about humility and meekness! A heart of gold and special friend!
I love serving the Lord. Years ago I would worry about the dumbest STUFF! Sometimes it would consume me. Then I read a book by Kenneth Hagin and he shared how he lived a worry free life. That day I chose to never worry again. It wasn't immediate, but over time, I learned to live a worry free life.
For the past 3 years, we have been living in Honduras as missionaries. I have truly seen Him take over my life. I do my part and He does His. In about a month, we are ramping up our efforts in ministry. We are wanting to reach more and do more for His Kingdom. This morning, he told me to write down what I wanted to see in the future. He told me to dream for more and don't settle for 2nd best! Believe Him to fulfill everything on this list. You know what, I am writing that list and not going to worry one second. He will do what He says he will do. We will see His work go forward. He will provide every prayer, servant, and financial dollar needed to accomplish the task at hand all the while I will have a big smile on my face seeing it happen right before me and my wife. Forever, His Word goes forward accomplishing His promises. Seed time and harvest is a continual process. By sowing, you will reap. Planting financial seeds, you reap a financial harvest.
It's exciting to see God move in your life when you participate in His principals that are written in His Word. Shawn Paul Missionary to Honduras Black Soldier Fly (NOT a house fly) box I just got done building for "Casita de Copan" (children's home). The Fly will lay their eggs in the cardboard. As they put their food scraps in the box, the larvae will fall into the waste and break it down into compost. When they mature, they will crawl up the ramp and fall in the little black plastic box. FREE chicken and fish food!!
I was taking the trash to the curb this morning and couldn't help but to think, I do this twice a week like clock work.
Then a thought came to my mind, how often do we take an account of our spiritual walk and clean out the trash of the things that hold us back from a greater walk in the Lord? What are we permitting to stay that we know is affecting our walk and rotting in our lives? Making us less effective for the Kingdom of God. Take the trash out! Kind of applies to how the devil ensnares our lives through compromise. We love it so much, that we are not willing to let it go. All the while, he puts us in bondage. Set yourself free by letting the compromise go. Run unto the Lord for he is GOOD!! |
