Dad, going to miss you in so many ways. I can truly say that I always knew you loved me. The hour long conversations we had over the phone. We could talk about anything. Your wisdom that you gave me helped me through different situations. Never forget coming home one time and seeing the stacks of Army Times on the floor and asking mom why dad had these. Mom saying, "Cause your father is continually wanting to know how you are and what is going on in the Army." Many are not as fortunate as I to have a father like you. You insured that I learned the values and morals of life. No matter how thick of a head I had, you didn't give up. The greatest memory I have is seeing you this April. We all knew what was coming. We stood together as a family and prayed. Dad, I know I am going to see you again. I cherish knowing where you are at. Your suffering is over with. Love you and miss you already. Shawn
Please keep our family up in prayer. My mother lost the love of her life last night. I know it's a relief for her. It's never easy seeing the one you love to suffer, but soon those thoughts will be gone and will sink in that he's gone. I pray the Lord gives us all peace and strength.
