
“Our clothes, computers, camera equipment and that’s about it,” Paul said of their packing plans.
They’ve had garage sales. Their home, a yellow house with flower boxes in the windows, is for rent. Cars soon will be sold.
“Our whole work will be focused on the deep rural areas of Honduras,” Paul said. “That’s where the need is. Predominately, no one is going deep into the mountains.”
Copàn Ruinas is a tourist town famous for Mayan ruins and is a safe community, Paul said. Other areas of Honduras are infamous for drug trafficking, homicide and corruption.
For the first few weeks, the family will stay with a friend while they sort through government requirements and arrange long-term housing. Then, they start working with La Cosecha (The Harvest), a church in Copàn Ruinas. Nancy and Alexis will have roles at the church’s school. Donate to Our Mission Trip
