Case for Healing Part #2

My last posting regarding Case for Healing Part #1, I shared about Matt 6:10, “Thy Kingdom come, thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven.”  Many wouldn’t associate this with healing scriptures, but we went into great detail of this scripture in the sense of it being, Jesus wants us to pray that the Kingdom of God will come upon the earth.  God’s will, plan, and purposes come forth!  “As it is in heaven,” what is heaven like?  That is the key question here.  We broke down scriptures in showing what heaven is like and correlating it with God’s will for us here on earth.

Even though, we discovered God’s will in heaven and his desire for us to believe the same for on earth.  I still feel if this was a case being prosecuted in a court of law, it would still be weak.  I think we need to dig deeper than that.  Anytime a prosecutor takes a case before the judge, they want one that is open and shut.  There is no room for doubt.  As we can see, God wants his kingdom to go forth here upon the earth.  Jesus wanted us to pray that it would come forth.  There is no sickness in heaven and the prayer is, “on earth as it is in heaven.”
But let‘s dig deeper into the character of God the Father and Jesus.  Yes, we know there is no sickness in heaven, but what does Jesus and the Father really think and desire!

We have always heard, “Actions Speak Louder than Words.”  I don‘t know about you, but I believe this with all my heart.  Someone can tell you all they want until they are blue in the face of what they will do, but until they do it, I don‘t put much faith in it.  Obviously, we are dealing with a whole different set of circumstances here.  We are to take God at his Word.  We are to believe it by faith.  We are not to be a doubting Thomas.  Jesus said to Thomas after he believed it was the Lord after seeing him, “Because you have seen me, you have believed.  Blessed are those who believe without seeing.”  My point is, we have documentation of who the Father and Jesus was and are today, it has been recorded, etched in a stone sort of speak.  God’s Word is the inspiration of his spirit.  So, we will explore scriptures that will truly show who they were in action.

Here is a list of scriptures you will find fascinating.  You will see something that is common, he healed them ALL.  The word ALL is even used in theses scriptures many times.  Take the time to read them.  Not only you will get a true sense of who Jesus is, but his overwhelming character, will, and desire!

Matthew 8:16 (KJV)
16  When the even was come, they brought unto him many that were possessed with devils: and he cast out the spirits with his word, and healed all that were sick:

Matthew 14:14 (KJV)
14  And Jesus went forth, and saw a great multitude, and was moved with compassion toward them, and he healed their sick.

Matthew 19:2 (KJV)
2  And great multitudes followed him; and he healed them there.

Matthew 21:14 (KJV)
14  And the blind and the lame came to him in the temple; and he healed them.

Matthew 12:15 (KJV)
15  But when Jesus knew it, he withdrew himself from thence: and great multitudes followed him, and he healed them all;

Mark 6:56 (KJV)
56  And whithersoever he entered, into villages, or cities, or country, they laid the sick in the streets, and besought him that they might touch if it were but the border of his garment: and as many as touched him were made whole.

Mark 3:10 (KJV)
10  For he had healed many; insomuch that they pressed upon him for to touch him, as many as had plagues.

Luke 4:40 (KJV)
40  Now when the sun was setting, all they that had any sick with divers diseases brought them unto him; and he laid his hands on every one of them, and healed them.

Luke 6:19 (KJV)
19  And the whole multitude sought to touch him: for there went virtue out of him, and healed them all.

Luke 9:11 (KJV)
11  And the people, when they knew it, followed him: and he received them, and spake unto them of the kingdom of God, and healed them that had need of healing.

I encourage you to take the time to read all the 4 gospels and particularly look for each situation where Jesus was dealing with a sickness or someone who was possessed.  Not one case can you find Jesus refusing to heal anyone.  Not one case Jesus casting sickness upon someone.  It‘s not in the gospels.  There is only one scripture referring to some not receiving in Matthew 13:57-58 NLT2:
And they were deeply offended and refused to believe in him. Then Jesus told them, “A prophet is honored everywhere except in his own hometown and among his own family.”  58  And so he did only a few miracles there because of their unbelief.

Obviously, we can see from scripture, this was not the choice of Jesus; it was their own.  He wanted them all to receive.  Even though the Lord is willing and able to bring the healing in our lives, we can put a stop to it through our actions.  Here, offense and unbelief was the culprit.

I know we are covering the character and willingness of the Father and Jesus, but I want to say something here.  The worse thing you can do is dwell on what you are doing wrong.  First thing is first, find out what the Word says!  Find out what the promises are and made to you.  Many times over that‘s what people need.  They just need to know what the Word says, get it in their spirits, and walk it out in faith.  In the future, we will cover our actions, but it’s premature for that.

Jesus’ life consisted of bringing forth the Kingdom of God upon the earth.  Sharing the Good News through words and ACTION!  You could physically see it in operation!  He said, “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” (John 10:10 KJV).  He also said, "Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand.”  He wasn‘t walking around healing and the next minute casting sickiness upon those around him.  HE SAID, “A house can‘t be divided or it won‘t stand!”  PERIOD!  He said, “The devil comes to steal, kill, and destroy!”  Does sickness rob from you?  Yes!  Can sickness kill you?  Yes!  Can sickness destroy you?  Yes!  Does sickness ever bring life to someone?  No!  Can you have an abundant and full life with sickness?  No!

Final scripture to drive the point regarding the life of Jesus Christ and his position on healing.  Acts 10:38 sums it all up.  I keep this one close.  It‘s the conclusion.  If you don‘t know the exact meaning of conclusion, here you go:  “a decision reached by reasoning.”  This is the decision we must reach due to the reasoning that has taken place in this blog posting.
“How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.”
Picture
This scripture confirms ALL other scriptures!  Jesus went about DOING GOOD!  HEALLING ALL that were oppressed of the devil.  Just in case you are not aware, oppression of the devil brings sickness.  There really is nothing more to read into this.  It is so clear who Jesus was!  He life here on earth was about pouring goodness out in others around him who would receive him.  A part of his goodness was healing!  Healing the sickness the devil brought upon others!

Next posting we are going to cover some more the character and will of Jesus and the Father, but more so, the Father.  I believe you will find it fascinating.  Once we truly grasp their position on healing, I don‘t think there will be any other room in our minds.  We will KNOW that the Lord wants us healed!
