We at MorningStar Missions had a wonderful time here these past two month. Continually we are seeing steps taken forward in the works of God that we are currently performing; very blessed to have other ministries behind us lifting our hands and giving us strength in doing so. Thank you to ALL financial supporters; to us, it doesn't matter the dollar amount, you are helping us advance the Kingdom of God. First part of March, we had the pleasure of Pastor David coming to help us minister the gospel in La Laguna. He initially came here to lay the ground work for his group coming in June, but I think in the end, it was so much more so! He showed us a fresh new approach in ministering to the people one on one. Before, we would get results, but not to the level of what he was. It just came down to how we approached the people with the gospel of Jesus. What was even more impacting was when he ministered over our daughter Alexis. That she is going to be hungry and passionate in her spirit like never before. She is marked for the Kingdom of God and nothing is going to stand in the way of it. It seemed like days if not minutes, Nancy and I began to see something different in her. 2 months later, the atmosphere in our home has completely changed. We feel as if we have seen her go from being a teenager to a confident woman of God. End of March, my grandmother passed away and went to be with Jesus. It was her wish that I came back and performed her funeral. Wow!! What an honor that was!! I firmly believe God had a plan for my family and he moved in a mighty way. Souls were saved and moved for his Glory! It was a special time for our whole family. | While in Iowa and with my family, I got a special treat in visiting First Presbyterian Church. Wow! What a great time it was! There is nothing like spending time with those that lift you up in prayer continuously and provide the needed support to sustain you in the mission field. Thank you so much for making me feel so welcomed! Another special event that took place was our adult reading program in La Laguna began first of April. We are very proud to say that we have approximately 25 students in attendance. Seeing adults learning to read for the very first time in their lives is extremely rewarding and special. We are so blessed to have this program at MorningStar Missions. We owe much gratitude to Sarah Davis of Florence, Alabama for making this all possible! We are continuing our monthly pastoral meetings as well. This is a great time to spend with these men and women of God. It gives us an opportunity to sow into their lives spiritually, but also connect with them on a more intimate level. All pastors in our community has needs, but in different areas, this helps us find out those needs and possibly meet them so they can be better leaders for the Kingdom of God. Again, thank you all for everything you have done for our ministry here in Honduras. We can assure you, that lives are being touched and you are a part of it. Many blessings to you and your loved ones from Nancy, Alexis, and I! Shawn Paul |
