Words can't even remotely describe what God is doing in our lives here in Honduras!! We are seeing prayers answered one after another!!
We have been in Copan Ruinas for about 3 weeks now. Settled down in our apartment and have been able to purchase some furnishings. Still have a few more items to get, but will wait until we feel peace in doing so. Don't want to bum rush the stores and just purchase because there is a need. Nancy and I came in agreement to purchase as deals come forth.
It's funny how God can take that open wound in your heart and bring such a wonderful healing. We left so many family members, friends, and what we know behind in the U.S. to give our lives to the missions call on our hearts. We have fell in love with the people of La Cosecha church and they are our Honduran family. Not saying we will forget those behind, but God is making it easier for us.
Answered prayers are becoming a norm for us. I must chuckle about it. Just seeing God outperform our expectations is one of the best lives you can live. He is showing himself big!! We are like kids in a candy shop.
Our recent prayer was to link up with a translator that has the same heart for the people in the mountains as I do. The very next day God brings a man in my life that ministers weekly in the remote villages. HE SPEAKS ENGLISH!! We will start working together next week!! WOW!!
Saving the best part for last. Our church here in Honduras has been working with Douglas Rowland, Grace & Glory Ministries International to bring in a crusade for Copan Ruinas. It has been a complete honor working with them. Never have I experienced such an overflow of love from one particular group of people. To be honest, you really can't even put into words the fullness of what we have felt working with them!!
One particular moment was when we were out ministering door to door. This woman was out in the road hunting for us. She had know idea who we were or what we had to share, but she insisted that we come to her home to share with her and her husband. We began to tell them about Jesus. They told us that they have never heard about Jesus or salvation. That day, two more names were written in the Lambs Book of Life!!
God bless you, we love you all so much!!
