A blessed lady, Judy Baggett, donated a few outfits for the children to Sarah Davis to bring and pass out. One boy stood and watched a few children receive new clothes and decided he wasn't going to be left out. His determination to get my attention reminded me of the woman with the issue of blood. He came and stood right in front of me with his arms raised up ready for me to remove his dirty torn and too small shirt to receive a new shirt with shorts. His smile reminded me of the scripture Matthew 25:34-36.
“Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father, inherit the Kingdom prepared for you from the creation of the world. For I was hungry, and you fed me. I was thirsty, and you gave me a drink. I was a stranger, and you invited me into your home. I was naked, and you gave me clothing. I was sick, and you cared for me. I was in prison, and you visited me."
Sarah and I got to hand out clothes and some candy to the families for a short time before going to the next community. Within that time I notice a few needs that I'm going to believe God to fulfill. Shoes, clothes, and parasite pills for the 80 families in this community. I can't do this alone, contact me if you want to be a part. It would be a matter of gathering clothes and getting them to the teams that will be coming down here to do mission work in our area.
